How to Go Viral on X: A Creator’s Guide to Beating The Algorthym
If you’ve found yourself shadowbanned, flagged, or wondering why your once-thriving posts suddenly vanished into algorithmic oblivion, you’re not alone.
I went through the same confusion, frustration, and trial-and-error phase trying to figure out what X’s moderation AI was actually doing with my FinDom, FemDom, and fetish-aligned content.
After months of testing, appealing, and speaking directly with Grok and the X team, I finally pieced together what helps your visibility and what quietly destroys it.
This post isn’t theory or guesswork. It’s everything I’ve personally tested and has been proven across multiple creator accounts, written to help you stay visible, protected, and still authentically you.
How I Fixed My Visibility on X as a Findom, Femdom and Fetish Creator
If you’ve been wondering why your tweets keep getting hit with the “sensitive content” label or your reach suddenly drops even though you’re not posting anything explicit, I’ve been there too. Over the last few months, I’ve been testing, appealing, comparing notes with other creators, and digging into what actually triggers X’s system. I’ve also been in touch with Grok and the X team to make sense of how their moderation AI works.
There’s no official public list of banned words or exact explanations from X, but after a lot of trial and error, clear patterns started to form. The AI looks at your text, your visuals, and the context around them. It doesn’t read tone, only probability. That means it can misinterpret something as harmless as a bikini photo or a cheeky caption as adult content… and even for some, completely vanilla content.
I have been where you are! I also ended up in a pretty heavy shadowban that suppressed my account for what felt like six months. What helped me turn that around was discovering Goddess Katya on X, @goddesskatya00. She shares a lot of useful free information on getting out of a shadowban and more, including FREE step-by-step guides on her own X page. Some people may find those guides a bit advanced, so she also offers one-on-one support for creators who are time poor or not very tech savvy. I want to highlight her before we get into visibility and reach, because she is the queen of fixing shadowbans. If your account is stuck in one, my advice below will feel useless until you clear the SB first. Follow her, try her guides, or invest in her tailored help so you can start from a clean slate, then apply my following advice and get the visibility you deserve.
Below is everything I’ve learned about keeping your account healthy, protecting your reach, and staying visible without getting flagged.
Words and Phrases That Quietly Kill Reach
One of the biggest reasons posts get suppressed is language. Even innocent words can trigger the AI when paired with a certain image or tone. These are the repeat offenders I’ve seen flagged the most often:
Flirty or sexual phrases: “Sexy,” “hot,” “thicc,” “booty,” “cleavage,” “babe,” “hottie,” “turn me on,” “wet,” “naughty,” “spicy,” “tease.”
Body-focused terms: “Curves,” “ass,” “tits,” “legs for days,” “bikini body,” “underwear,” “lingerie.”
Action words: “Bend over,” “twerk,” “grind,” “pole,” “lap dance,” “kiss me,” “touch.”
Emojis that act like signals: (peach), (hot), (naughty), (sweat), (tongue), (phallic). Too many of these in one caption can trip the filter immediately.
Hashtags that attract risk scoring: #Bikini, #Swimsuit, #ThirstTrap, #OnlyFansVibes, #NSFWlite. Stick to neutral ones like #BeachDay or #WeekendMood instead. (IMO just don't use hashtags at all! full stop. They hurt more than be helpful these days).
Engagement bait that looks spammy: All-caps like “SO HOT!!”, questions such as “Who wants this?”, or links to adult-leaning sites (for example Linktree).
If you want to test a post safely, remove all of these first and post something neutral. If it stays visible, you can slowly add softer wording like “summer vibes” or “pool fun.” Regional slang can confuse the AI too. Words like “snog” or “fit” might look sexual in certain contexts.
Visuals That Trip the System
The AI scans your photos even harder than your text. It calculates how much skin is showing, the lighting, the pose, and even background details. It doesn’t understand art, composition, or intention. It just looks for probability of adult content.
Here’s what it regularly misreads:
Clothing or exposure: Bikinis, speedos, crop tops, sheer fabric, or any outfit showing midriff or cleavage. Even normal yoga wear can be flagged if the pose looks “erotic” from an angle. So if you post these, be very smart about it!
Common flagged poses: Arching your back, looking over your shoulder, pouting, hands on thighs or hips, or bent-over angles.
Settings: Bedrooms, bathrooms, dimly lit rooms, pools with wet clothes or shiny skin filters.
AI-generated or digital art: Anything with exaggerated "curves" or a glossy wet or “deepfake” look.
Group shots: Multiple people in swimwear can look like a “party” scene to the algorithm. LOL Weird, I know!
Safer choices:
Use bright daylight, smiling front-facing shots, and casual or lifestyle themes. Beachwear is fine if it’s more covered or not a suggestive pose. Include context like food, travel, pets, or scenery. (Maybe avoid the pets part that can get a bit weird in the kinky community) If a photo feels borderline, crop it or add a small sticker over exposed areas before posting.
My Pre-Post Routine
Before I post anything now, I run through a quick checklist:
1. Wording check: Replace anything suggestive with something neutral. “Sexy bikini” becomes “cute swimsuit.”
2. Image check: Crop or adjust framing. Post a clothed version first to test. (Hot tip: Smile in bikini selfies rather than pout)
3. Timing: Avoid posting at algorithm-heavy hours. The AI scans more aggressively when traffic is high.
4. Privacy settings:
Uncheck “Mark media as sensitive” unless it truly is something very sensitive.
Enable two-factor authentication.
Limit third-party app permissions. Aka have your sends auto tweets go to another account NOT your main.
Mute sensitive keywords in your feed to train your algorithmic preferences.
Posting Strategy That Keeps You in the Clear
Only self-flag when absolutely necessary. Marking something as sensitive protects you from reports but can cut your impressions by more than half. So be super smart about when to actually do this! It has worked for others but this is something I personally no longer do.
Text before visuals. Start replies and threads with words, then follow up with images if nothing gets flagged.
Use threads wisely. The first tweet sets the tone. If it’s safe, you can add more creative visuals in the replies.
Balance your content. I aim for around seventy percent “safe” posts like quotes, polls, or jokes, and thirty percent aesthetic or fetish-related content. The safe ones boost your overall trust score.
Get premium and check analytics often. If a post suddenly performs much worse than your average, delete it and repost with lighter language.
Collaborate with verified creators. Partnering with trusted accounts reduces your flag risk significantly. Try your best NOT to interact with flagged accounts. (Sorry babes, if I randomly stopped! I still love you and your content but I gotta take care of myself).
The Secret Trick Most Creators Don’t Talk About
Another thing that helps massively is engaging with high-visibility, high-engagement “vanilla” posts.
This means liking, commenting, and interacting with everyday, algorithm-friendly content that isn’t related to your niche at all. Posts about puppies, cute animals, food, travel, or memes tend to have massive engagement and are considered “safe” by X’s system.
When you comment under those posts, especially ones that already have millions of impressions, you’re signaling to the algorithm that your account is part of normal, mainstream activity. It boosts your trust score and helps your content circulate more freely.
That’s why you’ll often see me and other creators popping up in the comments on dog videos saying things like “Omg this is so cute lol.” It might seem random, but it’s actually part of a smart engagement strategy. The more the system associates your profile with neutral, high-performing content, the better your reach becomes overall.
If you want your Findom or Femdom content to thrive, you have to train the algorithm to see you as more than just an “adult creator.” Think of these interactions as a health supplement for your account.
The Hidden Risk of AI Content Trends
Even though it might seem harmless and fun to join in on viral AI trends, like posting those filters or “AI versions” of yourself as a hot cartoon or fantasy character, I’ve learned it can seriously hurt your reach. I used AI for my DR AJ program and it did me so much harm than good when I launched so now it stays on my website only.
The moderation AI can’t always tell the difference between creative filters and deepfakes, so it often flags those images under the same adult or manipulated content categories. That means your visibility takes a hit for something that looks totally innocent to us.
The same goes for AI-written tweets that you copy and paste. X’s detection system can recognise AI-generated phrasing patterns, and when it does, it treats your account as less organic and more “bot-like.” Over time, that can quietly reduce your impressions.
So stop overthinking or over-editing your posts to sound “better,” or running them through ChatGPT to “fix them up” for you. This is actually hurting your reach. You’re far better off being authentically you. Keep showing up, be consistent, and sound like yourself. The algorithm favours natural, human tone over polished perfection every single time.
If you want to experiment with AI for inspiration, use it behind the scenes and rewrite everything in your own words before posting. Keep your voice consistent, real, and human. The more natural you sound, the healthier your engagement stays. I personally like to use Grammarly to fix up my spelling and punctuation, as while I am a writer, my editing sucks! So, try using that or even having a sub proofread for you rather than using ChatGPT or something.
How I Handle Flags and Warnings
If you get flagged, you can appeal immediately. It’s easier than most people think.
1. Go to the post, select “Not sensitive,” and explain clearly what’s in the image. Something like, “Fully clothed beach photo, no nudity or adult content.”
2. If several posts are affected, submit a batch appeal through the Help Center. It gets faster responses.
3. If you’re ignored, politely tag @Safety or @XEng with a screenshot (blur your handle if needed). When enough creators highlight the same problem, the issue gets fixed faster.
Newer accounts or those with multiple past flags face stricter scanning. That’s why it’s better to grow slowly with safe content at first.
Long-Term Account Health
Keep backups on other platforms like Instagram or Threads so your community doesn’t vanish if X restricts your reach. Follow @XDevelopers for updates. In May 2025, they mentioned new labeling options coming for “suggestive” content, which might give creators more control in the future.
Some users believe Premium helps reduce flagging, though that’s still unconfirmed (IMO it has personally helped me, however). Another good option is to keep a secondary account for edgier material and let your main profile stay algorithm-friendly.
What Changed for Me
Once I stopped using trigger words, and started focusing on tone, confidence, and storytelling, my impressions jumped two to three times higher. The shift was immediate. Hot Tip: Keep your more erotic stuff behind a paywall on adult sites such as LF or your own website.
X doesn’t hate creators who express sexuality. It just can’t tell the difference between artistic, sensual content and explicit material. When you understand how the AI sees you, you can work with it instead of against it.
I’ve learned to treat it like a game of strategy. Use intelligence, restraint, and creativity. The goal isn’t to be censored, it’s to outsmart the system so your power and personality still shine through.
I hope this breakdown helps you breathe a little easier and understand that there is a method to the madness, and you can absolutely thrive on X without losing your edge.
If you ever want to chat more about your own setup, I’m always around to talk things through, especially over voice notes on X, since that’s where I tend to and love to yap freely.
When it comes to shadowbans, I’ll always direct you to Goddess Katya (@goddesskatya00). She’s the go-to expert for getting out of them and offers incredibly helpful one-on-one support if you’re time poor or not very tech savvy. Once your account health is back on track, that’s where I can come in.
When it comes to marketing yourself, crafting your presence, and actually going viral, that’s where I can help. Not only have I been in this scene for a decade, in person and now online, but I also come from a marketing background, I worked as a strategist for a global tech firm you all know and use daily. I’ve also built websites for small businesses starting out, helping them brand themselves and ultimately thrive because of the years I spent working with analytics and audience behavior, so everything I share is backed by experience and real results.
I genuinely love seeing women in this space succeed (and in general), and I’m a big believer that there’s more than enough to go around for all of us. If you’d like a proper audit or direct help fine-tuning your X profile, or getting your own website built, you can always reach out and I can tailor an affordable investment deal for you. I love helping other creators get seen, not stuck in the shadows. We all deserve to be visible and have our kinky cravings fed, now don’t we?
Love,
AJ
Disclaimer
While the methods I’ve shared here have worked for me and for many other creators, they might not work for everyone. Each account is tracked uniquely, and your IP address is tied to every profile you create on your devices. Because of this, starting fresh with a new account doesn’t always solve visibility issues. Using a hidden VPN can sometimes make things worse by signaling to X’s system that your account may not be trustworthy, which can lead to further suppression.
It’s also worth noting that, as I’m writing this in October 2025, X’s moderation AI is currently glitching again. Even completely vanilla accounts that have never posted sensitive or explicit content are being flagged or shadowbanned. A similar issue happened back in 2024, and after enough of us spoke up publicly, X eventually released a patch that corrected the problem. Hopefully, history repeats itself sooner rather than later.
So keep that in mind as you navigate all of this. You could be doing absolutely everything right and still find your account flagged or shadowbanned due to a temporary system glitch that’s completely out of your control. The best thing we can do is stay consistent, stay vocal, and keep supporting one another until it’s resolved.
